DAVID HARTGRAVES OBITUARY
David Michael Hartgraves, 79, of Gaston, South Carolina passed away June 10, 2022. He was born on September 15, 1942, in Denver, Colorado to the late Louis and Rachela (Caputo ) Hartgraves.
Dave is survived by his wife of 54 years, Grace Hartgraves; his son, John Hartgraves (Tracie); grandson, Brandon Hartgraves; granddaughter, Rachel Hartgraves; great-grandson, Jayden Hartgraves; and brother, Robert "Bob" Hartgraves.
Dave retired from the US Army after 22 years of service. He also worked as a locksmith for The Lockheed Martin Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gaston.
A graveside service was held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
Dave's brother Robert passed on July 26, 2022,
Dave's wife Grace passed away on August 31, 2022.
2022 was a tough year for the Hartgrave family.
In talking with Dave around the time of our 50th reunion, he mentioned that he had worked on missile shots at Vandenberg AFB on the central California coast, during his military career. As assignments go, Vandenberg is hard to beat. George Davis
